Is there a way to un-mirror the 2tb mirrored wd so that I can use the whole 2tb just for storage and not so that it backs up on 1 and uses the other?
Probably but it would most likely involve reformating the drive and wiping out all data. I think you need to change fromm Raid1 to Raid0, not quite sure. I’ve got a My Book Pro and you can do that in the WD Drive manager. You didn’t mention what drive you have. It should be in the users manual.
