Hello, I got a new SSD blue 1TB to replace my old 512 GB SSD Samsung EVO. My Dell L710 now has 1TB WD blue and 1TB SSD EVO 850. Reglarly I copy about 200 GB From one disk to another. With my old Samsung 512GB the speed is/was about 430MB/S. With the new WD blue I get only 295MB/S no matter if I attache them as primary or secondary HD.
Any Idea about this issue?
My System :
Dell XPS L702X - i7 - Windows 10 64bits - Intel controller ver. 15.2.0.1020 - MS Storage Controller ver 10.0.14393.351
Try installing the WD SSD Dashboard and check if there’s a firmware update available:
Trancer,
Thanks for your reply. I’ve already installed Dashboard. The firmware is up-to-date. Another information that may be relevant is when I copy a large file (vhdx, vmdk,…) The speed begins at rate of 410 MB/s and after 10% or 20% the speed slow down to 295 MB/S. I tested another SSD from Sandisk 256GB and the speed was constant at ±400 MB/S for the same files.
