Smartware and MyCloud; replace individual files with most updated when backing up

Hi, Newbie here.
I’m trying to figure out WD Smartware. I want to backup files from my WD Passports to my WD My Cloud via the WD Smartware. when I’ve set it up to do individual files (because I have a certain folder structure; instead of using category backup), it creates a separate backup each time it backs up.

Is there any way to back it up, replacing only the folders that have updated items? I’ve created a folder structure on MyCloud drive that is identical to my Passport. I want to replace only updated files/folders each time I backup…instead of backing up only that folder in a separate backup. or instead of backing up the whole folder structure in a separate backup; accumulating backups. It takes up more space on MyCloud.

thank you in advance for your time and help.

Did you set up scheduled backups or are you doing them yourself? Have you read all the information provided under the Help tab and looked at the Online User Manuals, link at bottom of Help tab.

Hi,

I tried the scheduled backups and decided to do it manually.

yes i did. searched HELP and User Manual and Googled it. In the help and user manual they only state how to set it up…and when i do it that way, it creates a new backup file each time. so each time, i’m having to backup the whole HD, which takes so long, and takes up more space.
