I believe if your Sansa Fuze is like 4GB then you can use equal or less SDHC card. Example: 4Gb Fuze= 2GB SDHC or 4GB SDHC. 8GB Fuze= 2GB SDHC, 4GB SDHC,and 8GB SDHC.

You are mistaken. Any Fuze (or e200v2 series for that matter), regardless of internal memory size, will accept, recognize, support & play any card, whether it be SD or SDHC all the way from 2GB the smallest up to the current maximum, 16GB as long as it physically fits (Micro size). And they will be able to use the 32GB cards when they come out.
For the present though, there is an approx. 4000 song limit in the database, but SanDisk is working on correcting that.

Tape does that mean my old 1 gig SD card wont work? I know its not much music but It has a purpose… So I need it to work… And Arnt the Cards for SlotMusic 1 gig will those work in my Fuze?
I didn’t know they made Micro SD cards in 16GB. I only see them in 8GB on new egg.
Are there any specific brands or speeds to keep in mind with getting a card?

So even with an 8 Gig card, at that trend your looking at 1400 songs on the card + 700 songs internal. Nowhere near 4000 songs. I guess it would all have to be in 96kbps to be able to fit that many songs on there.

Amazon has the 16gb cards that I’ve saw.
I stick with Sandisk as I use them for movies and had problems with others for movies.

Thanks for reminding me that there ARE cards smaller then 2GB. I’ve edited my previous post to reflect that fact.
The Fuze, regardless of internal memory size will recognize ALL Micro-SD & SDHC cards, regardless of card memory size.

It depends on the average song length and bitrate used. Do a bit of math. A 4 gig player plus a 16 gig card is 20 gigs. At 128 kbps approximately 18 hours of music fits on a gig. If the songs average 3 minutes each, that is 20*18*20=7200 songs to fill the player. At a 4 minute per song average, it is 15*18*20=5400 songs. At 5 minutes it is 12*18*20 =4320 songs. An 8 gig player with an 8 gig card is 16 gigs, which yields 20*18*16=5760 at 3 min ave, 15*18*16=4320 at 4 min average, or 12*18*16=3456. Of course some people have songs averaging way over 5 minutes each, while others have songs averaging under 3 minutes.
