Several questions

  1. I cannot open http://192.168.60.1 or http://mypassport.

my mpw is connected via usb to a win7 pro desktop, in windows explorer I see the disk and can use it,

in chrome and firefox I get nothing.

    what to do about it?

  1. how can I use for example “send to facebook” in My Cloud" on a non-cellular iPad?

mpw and iPad r connected via wifi, so the iPad has no internet connection.

is there any other way than to download the photo and to change the wifi connection?

I did read somewhere, that mpw can make it´s own internet connection, but I don´t understand at all how that works.

  1. as I can neither open the browser access nor connect the iPad at the same time to the net and with the mpw,

I couldn´t do a firmware update so far, so I downloaded the update on my desktop and received a zipped bin-file.

How do I use this file now?

  1. we use 64 gig sd cards on our cameras, but they hardly get full and so far after some tests we don´t have

complants about the sd download speed as many others seem to have, that might change when we go on

the next holidays and the cards will get fuller.

but browsing the photos on our iPads is horribly slow.

it´s unbelievable anyway, that u cannot send them into ur camera roll more directly.

watching My Cloud producing the previews makes u believe something is broken.

scrolling through the pictures themselfs feels like being connected by telefax or such.

how do u guys handle this?

    or did we miss something?

  1. the connection between My Cloud/ iPad and mpw often disconnects (distance about 50 cm).

is this normal? anybody else experiencing this?

  1.   Of course not.   When it’s connected to your computer in USB mode, the web pages aren’t going to work.

  2.  Yes, put your MPW on your home network instead of standalone WiFi.

  3.  Do what I explain in #1 and #2,   OR do it via SD card.

I think you have not read the manual?

  1.  No, that’s not normal.   I suspect you have severe RF interference.

our wifi works really well.

it seems better now, maybe cause of the firmware update or because of the net connection.
