Problem with WD Backup.exe that comes with the New My Passport

I have been using WD My Passport with the WD Smartware to auto backup from my PC. Till my 3rd WD My Passport, all goes well. This recent one that I have bought only comes with WD Backup.exe for my auto backup. The problem is that it has so many History folders that fills up all my space. It is 1 TB, and the History folder occupies 80% of the space, and very quickly, this message pop up: YOU HAVE NOT ENOUGH SPACE… BTW, I only select to have 1 old file to be kept in the setting. And the files inside these History Folders has file names that is so long that it couldn’t be deleted.
Is there a setting that could prevent this History Folders ?

Did you choose the option to keep one old file after the drive was almost full or since the first backup?
