Problem with WD 2TB USB 3.0 MyBoook Ext powerdown

I have a Western Digital 2 TB USB 3.0 My Book Desktop External Hard Drive attached to my Dish receiver. The problem I have is that it powers down after a certain amount of time (relatively short) and that creates problems when I try to access programs recorded on it.

Is there any way to disable the powersaving on the drive? If not, I need to change to something else which will be a pain (due to having to move everything already on it.)

Check on your receiver. Maybe there is an option to put the attached drive on sleep mode.
