Problem loasing data from mY wd drive

I buy befor 2 year wd my passport with serial number WX11DA67SJOJ I use it with my pc on work daily

WHEN I CONECT IT TO MY LAPTOP and work on it after i connect it to my pc on work and i see that some folder is loosed and i did scandisk to drive to recover my files and its return successfully.
that scenario happened always .
I decide to buy new hard drive and buy new one passport with serial number WX61D189T6VA
and i see the same problem come to
what is the problem and how can i solve this problem?
is there an update for firmware or some thing
please help

FIrst, delete your serial numbers. No one needs to know those.

Second, make sure before you unplug the drive that you safely remove it (eject it).
