Installed my 2TB My Book Essential on my PC today to back up a secondary hard drive in my pc. Install went very well and everything seemed be perfect until I hit the “Start Backup”. It started lighting up showing the progress then my computer froze and then the blue screen. GREAT!!! Unplugged the My Book and restarted the computer went online and have been here ever since trying everything they have recommended and I still can’t use it. No more blue screens but it still freezes, and I still can’t boot up the system while it is connected after I reset my BIOS as they suggested.
Any one else running into this problem??? I connected it to an older computer in my office and it seemed to work… The problem is that machine does not have the drive on it I need to back up. An entire day shot!!!
