Passport Essential not mounting in Mac OS Snow Leopard

Hello

I made a very stupid thing and tried, like many others, to uninstall or hide the WD Smartware

I followed some tutorial online and now I find that my hard drive is not mountable…

When I plug it in the USB port, the small white light is on

It is a 320 gb passport essential formatted as Mac so journaled

I tried to mount it on a win XP computer as well, but nothing worked overthere either.

Any ideas on what could be done?
I am not very much interested in recovering the data on the drive, but to restore it, somehow…

Hope you guys can help me,

thanks

Adi

This could happen if the drive was locked using Smartware. If you hide the software then it will not give you the option to unlock the drive. You can try enabling the VCD again. It could also be that you damaged the partition when you updated the firmware, which in this case you can try to update the Firmware again on Win.

Does the drive show in disk utility?  Or disk management?
