Passport 4TB not showing up on WD Backup

I received a new WD Passport 4TB yesterday and have been unable to do any backup with it yet.

Everything with it appears to work correctly. When I connect it to my computer (Windows 8.1) via USB, the light turns on, and I can hear it working. The computer recognizes it, and all the software downloaded correctly. Yet, when I open WD Backup, only Dropbox appears as an option for backing up.

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing all of the WD software. While I didn’t suspect it as a problem, I also added the external drive to exclusion lists on both Avast and Malwarebytes. I downloaded all the recent Windows updates as well. Along with that, I checked the services and ensured that all the WD services are running.

Does anyone have an idea about what might cause this problem and how to remedy it?

Try formatting the drive, and if possible try on another computer as a troubleshooting step.

Thanks. I tested it another computer, and it works without any issues. I checked the drive format, and it is NTFS. Is there something further you recommend trying with the drive format?
