I just bought the my passport 1tb external drive and i have my 300 gb itunes library already saved on it on my macbook. i would like to partition it and use 1 partition for backup purposes but my mac keeps telling “the partition failed with the following… no space left on disk” I have 700 gigs left. i did the disk first aid and it still won’t work. any help is welcomed.

Please remember :
- All data will be erased
- Multiple partitions have a higher risk of becoming corrupted
- Select 2 Partition on the Volume Scheme drop down
