WD hard disk element 1042 1 TB is not formating in NTFS format . how could i format and some times it not showing the hard disk icon when i connected .if i partion the hard disk that too not formating .i downloaded software from WD community and used format is failed .please help me .i dont want files i need hard disk which is before in workable condition .

Use the DLG tool to low level format the drive. Also you can use that utility to test the drive.
