Hi, im new here.
Ive been using a 2TB Mybook Essential since 2009 without any problems. Its connected ot an imac.
Ive been able to click and drag files in and out of with no problem.
Very recently Ive noticed that whenever i try to drag files from imac into Mybook Im met with a white circle with white line through it everytime. It wont alow me to put anything into mybook, no pics, no music , not any type of file.
I can still take files out of Mybook and put in to my imac but cant put files back to mybook.
The Mybook still has 1.66 TB of space left so i know its not an issue of being full.
Ive opened a case with WD but havent heard back in 2 days yet.
Also when I originally set uo this external drive I could see a menu page which showed me things like partitons (which I dont understand at all) and it showed me how many files were on the drive and lots of helpful info with the little icons at the top for imac and ext. drive etc. I have no idea how to get back to that page. All I c an do now is go to the unlock page and open it like that but cant sem to access this menu anymore. im worried something vital has got lost or ive moved/deleted something.
Any help greatly appreciated.
