My wife will kill me: lost her photos?

I have just bought a brand new Elelments25A2 and used it last night for the first time.I started copying photos from my Dropbox to the portable drive.Once copied I would delete the Dropbox file. Tonight it was my intention to complete. To my horror my computer could not “find” the WD Elements portable drive. Digging around I have managed to establish that there is a “driver error”

Dropbox has a file history option. Did you try reverting the main folder back a previous state on your Dropbox account?

On the other hand, what is the exact “drive error” message you are encountering? Does your unit work in another computer?

Have you tried plugging in the device into a different computer?

If you’ve tried software as well, you can always consider professional data recovery. Are you willing to pay to have the data recovered? If so you can PM me and I can advise further. If the drive is under warranty WD will still honour the warranty, but will not help you with recovery of files.
