My Western Digital Passport Ultra 1Tb only works with usb 3.0

As the title says, it only works with usb 3. be it laptop, desktop whatever. I have tried using usb 2 ports on other computers, my phone, (OTG) and laptops etc. When plugged in it spins up but does not show in disk management. The led blinks slowly.

I have no clue why this is happening. Thanks for any help :smiley:

Hi, that is extremely weird, have you tried connecting the drive with a Micro USB cable? Also, what is the model of your drive?

Hi, what do you mean micro usb cable? its a usb 3.0 hard drive. And the model is, WD10JMVW.

Thanks for the reply. Actually do you know if i can get a replacement or get it fixed? I bought it around a year ago.
