My harddrive passport has stopped working i haveonly had it for 9 months but now when i plug it in it starts humming then clicks and stops. and it does not appear on my computer. It has all my stuff saved on it and now it wont work

let me see if I can help you…
1- Make sure you are plugging the usb cable on a usb port located on the back of the computer (desktop) or on a usb port on the laptop itself (if applies)
2- If the drive is still not recognized go to Disk Management ( Start > right click on Computer, on the computer management window click on Disk Management )
3- If the drive shows unalocated just format it if the drive doesn’t show you may need to replace it.-
