My Passport won't let me open my pictures with Microsoft Office 2010?

All my pictures saved on my Passport have a white coat? When I click on a picture icon to open the picture… the picture will open, however, If I want to open the picture with Microsoft Office 2010 The MO 2010 screen opens up with a message saying: Other Folders Exist.  The selected locations do not contain pictures to preview.  Other folders or files exist but cannot be previewed.

I don’t think that is a problem with the hard drive. You can try to do a print screen and post it here so we can see better.
