My new 500 GB Passport will not work on my desktop PC, but does on my netbook. I bought it to back up my desktop, so it’s not much help. The Smartware installed and sees the C drive, but not the Passport. The Device Manager sees the Passport, but Explorer doesn’t. Anybody got a solution for me?
What OS is on the desktop and netbook? It sounds like a poblem on your desktop since the drive works on netbook.

Both are Windows7. What kind of problem could it be ? Both have most of the same programs, same virus protection, same firewall protection. That’s why I can’t figure out any problem. See? The desktop sees the Passport.
