I have used the My Passport to back-up my Lenovo lap top several times. I am running Windows 10. When I went to run a backup this weekend, the program would not open.
Windows explorer does see the drive.
The drive light does come on.
I ran the utilities checks and no errors were detected.
I can also copy files to this drive through Windows Explorer.
I uninstalled it, then re-installed in from the command line in the file on the drive. When it went to re-install, it let me know that there was an update and I accepted that.
At the last window of the re-install, there is a list of choices and I selected “Back-up”. I received an error message that said I had already set up this drive to back up but I could change it on a tab. I’m currently stuck in an endless loop because the program will not open so I can reset the information.
