My Passport WDbackup takes so long

I have a new passport WD portable drive 2TB
I’m on Windows 10.

The drive is connected to the pc with the cable that comes in the box .

Tonight I start my first backup.
After 3 hours it just performed 16% - 60.72 on 357,2.GB.
Is it normal ?

Usually, it’s 1 hour, 1 hour 1/2 for 100 Gb.

Is there a way to speed-up the process ?

Hi there,

The first backup always takes a while. Also, sometimes if you have a lot of small files the copy process is slower.
