I’ve used this drive on this computer successfully before so I don’t think there’s some fundamental incompatibility. When plugged in, the drive starts spinning away and the light is on so I think it’s still working.
Not showing up in device manager; not showing in any way shape or form in disk management.
Try in another system,try in back side usb ports of a desktop,try in another laptop,do not use any usb hub etc when trying,change usb cable.If still the same result then most likely hdd is gone.
