I cannot mount my passport ultra for mac, even though i can see it listed on disk utility. I keep getting this error, " Could not mount “My Passport”. (com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error 0.)

You may try a different USB cable, avoid USB hub and directly connect the drive to the USB port of Mac.

Is your drive greyed out in the disk utility? Can you press the mount button?

the issue just resolved itself somehow. after few days of trying to mount, I gave up and waited few more days. then, i tried to mount again. now, i have been able to connect consistently. i’m wondering now what might have caused this, and what i can do to prevent this issue from happening again.
Even after formatting the drive, it is not getting mounted on my Macbook pro. However, it works fine on my windows laptop.
After formatting umpteen times, the drive is able to detect now.
