About a month ago, my WD external drive (my passport) stopped automatically backing up my data. I will say that I changed the drive name in Windows Explorer back then to a name that more easily recognizable and I believe that might have caused the problem. The other evening, I changed it back to what is listed in the WD Smartware software and that did not fix the problem. I contacted customer support and, so far, all that has been recommended is to run the CHKDSK feature from Windows. That did not work. Can someone offer some other solutions?
