I installed my passport for Mac onto my MacBook Pro laptop. While it is connected the backup says it is in progress for a long time. The indicator light stops flashing but I can feel the spinning still going on. I have it set up with Time Machine. What is the approximate amount of time it should take to back up. I do not have a lot of used space on the laptop. Thanks in advance for any replies.
Does the indicator light remain lit even though it’s no longer flashing, or does turn off? The speed of the backup on USB depends on how much files are being transferred, the state of your computer (In use or idle, or sleeping [Which cancels the backup)], and overall drive health.
