My Passport Files in Mac OS X , Not Opening in Windows XP

I have My Passport 500 GB. I put files around 35 gb from Mac OS X in the Hard Disk.

Now when I connect this to Windows XP , it shows empty and the file size says 465 GB.

In Windows XP , the hard disk is just empty and shows Used Space around 75 MB.

Please help me out  and let me know how I can open these files on Windows XP as I do not have my Mac OS X here.

If the drive is formatted for Mac then Windows cannot read it. There is software MacDrive that will but it’s not free. I don’t know of any freeware that will work.

I just tried using MacDrive. But when I use it , The Hard Disk is not detecting as a Mac Drive. It just shows up as a Windows Drive. Please help me out.

Someone please help , I really need the files and I want to open them in Windows XP.

Try HFSexplorer and see if it helps, there’s not much you can do to view Mac files under XP. You need a program that allows your computer to recognize a foreign file system, like HFS+ is to Windows XP.
