I want to remove all the My Passport software from my computer, delete all the files from the portable hard drive, and then simply use the Drive as the only location for saving selected files. How doI do this?

Control Panel > Programs and Features > Smartware > uninstall
You can reformat the drive to erase everything
You can follow the link below for the steps to format the Passport from the disk management window or you can just delete the files manually.
