My Passport Essential SE can't not access to my PC

It happened yesterday. My Passport Essential SE 1TB model #WDBACX0010BRD can’t not access to my PC anymore. When i plug the cable in, seem like my PC still can recognize it, and the light of my Passport is still on and the icon of it still appear in windows explorer but when i click this icon, nothing appear and the properties pallette show that the driver’s capacity is 0 bytes. Can you help me with the problem please.
Thank you and sorry for my poor english.

Have the exact same problem

Your drive has a massive partition corruption (this is because WIndows is reading the drive as RAW)…  If data is important, you are looking @ a Level II Data recovery.  If data is not important, RMA it.

Thanks for the help but since this Passport is a gift from my dad when he go abroad for vacation, I cant RMA it in my country. And also, it said that even if i bought it here in my country, i have to bring along the box of my passport to RMA, but I already lost this box. Anyway, thanks a lot.

Sometimes a raw partition can be fixed with the command to convert FAT32 to NTFS. This would be a last ditch thing to try. Here is the link  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/214579  scroll down and you will find the what to enter in command prompt, run that as an administrator,

Thank you I will try it. But if it still not working after i convert, will it make more difficulty to fix my passport.

At this point, assuming you didn’t do it there is a chance of recovering the data.  However, if you did there is still a chance.  With data recovery, there is no guarantee that your data is recoverable.   You can try, but worst case scenario is that you won’t be able to recover the data.
