My Passport Backups

I’m looking into purchasing a “My Passport Ultra” 2TB Hard drive, and it mentions that this hard drive can be configured to backup your entire system or specific files on your computer…

The model # i’m specifically looking at is WDBBKD0020BB

What if I buy two of these hard drives and configure one of them to back up whatever is on the other one? Is that possible?

Please let me know if anyone needs additional information.

WD SmartWare, the backup utility bundled with the WD Passport does not perform system backups at the time of this post. It will only copy your data and will not copy system or program files. Your WD Passport can store system files, but you will need to use a third party application.

In order to mirror 2 WD Passport drives you will need a synchronization utility, or a backup utility able to work in parallel between 2 different hard drives.
