I recently purchased a new My Passport drive, up until an hour ago it was working perfectly fine. Now I’m having a problem with mounting it. Whenver I plug it in, it spins for a split seconds and stops. Then, it spins again and clicks three times before stopping completely. Also, the light on the side stay solid for the whole while it’s plugged in. Can somebody please help me with this problem, or at least help me recover data.
check if the drive shows on disk utility
try a different port/cable/computer
Disk utility was the first thing I tried and it’s not even up there. I’ve tried different ports, cables, and even another computer and still nothing.
