I was backing up my computer when my 2 year old went behind it and pulled the plug,(the USB that was plugged into the 0730) Now, when I plug it in, it IS recognized, and it Does spin up… and spin, and spin, and spin, in fact that is ALL it does, I cannot access it at all. When I try to it says I need to format it, but if I try to format it, it says cannot be formatted. Can this be fixed or do I now have myself a fancy paperweight? (it’s the 0730 1 TB)

Have you tried to format the unit from the disk management?
Try to remove the partition on the unit and then create a new partition.
