My new WD Elements Desktop 3TB External Hard Drive isn't recognised by my Samsung LCD TV

Hi

I just purchased a new hard drive and formatted it on my Mac.  The computer recognises it, but I swapped my movies across to it to play on my LCD TV and the TV wont recognise the drive? Is it to do with the formatting or is the drive too big??  The TV is 2 years old.

Could be both, most TVs does not support drives larger than 2TB and will only read FAT32.  To confirm this you may contact Samsung Support.
