My MyBook Elite doesn't work after instalation of WD SmartWare Mac release 1.2.2.5

Today I start the update of my my book elite to version 1.2.2.5 for mac.

I follow all the instructions as shown step by step.

At the end I restart my computer but it doesn’t show any external device.

When I plug both usb and power cables only a permanent white light turns on but no sound inside.

Please anybody knows what can I do?

in order to solve this issue you need to do the Following :

1-Connect your hard drive into a Windows computer Xp , Vista , 7

2-download the Firmware update for the HD in a windows version with the link below :

http://www.wdc.com/wdproducts/wdsmartwareupdate/Step1.asp?id=wdfMB_Elite&os=win JUST the firmware the Smartware update is not Required

3-run the firmware Update and Once is Completed then you Could go back to you MAC computer and the HD

Will be Working as Before
