My m260 not working

I bght this MP3 around 1 year ago. It worked great, but I didn’t used it for 1 week because I left it on a friend’s house with battery inside.

When I tried to turn on again, the mp3 didn’t turned ON. I tried to connect it without the battery to the usb and after so many times, the screen showed something.
The problem is that if I turn it off for some hours, it didn’t turn ON unless I repeat that procedure.

What can I do about this??

remove batt - leave alone for a couple mins - put FRESH NEW batt in

I did that, nothing happened. Also wait 24 hours without the battery and insert a fresh battery. Nothing
