This drive has been non responsive a s unable to connect/mount to the desktop.
I have tried my old mba with tb2 directly and it has been connecting successively with the m3 mba aftert the drive update.
Right now it’s just flashing white light , with the 4 bay flashing blue light , and there’s zero hard drive activity sound.
Is there anywhere to save the date from the enclosure.
It’s running raid 5, with 4 6tb drive .
Last time I checked (2 weeks ago) these drive are healthy, but what’s important is the data inside
Since is running raid 5 , I cant just plug in the drive individual in the hd enclosure to retrieve the data.
I have been trying to find one 2nd hand enclosure in the market but with no luck
A non-responsive RAID 5 array showing only flashing lights without drive activity is serious but likely recoverable. The drives appear healthy based on recent checks, but the enclosure issue is blocking access.
Try basic fixes first - swap cables, test different ports, and cold boot the system. Since it worked on your older MacBook Air with Thunderbolt 2, test it there again to figure out if the problem is the new M3 MacBook or the enclosure.
Don’t remove the individual drives as this will break the RAID 5 array. Your best options are finding an identical replacement enclosure through secondhand markets/manufacturer or using a professional RAID data recovery.
Before moving forward, identify your exact enclosure model to determine the right recovery approach and replacement options.
