My files are gone and suddenly i cant use my passport anymore. someone help!

Good day/Evening to you all. my problem is that my passport suddenly stop working. i was deleting some files in it then suddenly crushed. now my computer and other computer that i used on it. only detects it as "Local Disk :d/e/etc and my files are gone not a single one is there. when i look on the properties its capacity is 0 bytes, file system; blank and when i put files on it a message error pops up “specific location”. i tried to look on it on disk manage but i coudnt see it. i tried to format it using smart ware quick format but  there an error saying that i should ask the application support team.but i can see it in the device manager  disk it says Usb passport 730. i updated the driver using smartware and downloaded some software that ive seen in our forum but it is still the same. i hope some has some insights to help me with my problem.

my os is: windows xp ( i already downloaded the drivers for xp but still no go)

Ok, as per your description you are dealing with a corrupt file…Have you try format your drive via Disk Management?

Yup… corrupted partition it is…

Check the status on Disk Management. Defragment and chkdsk should help

also use Recuva to retrieve your files

thanks fot the replies. yes sir i have already use recuva it says no specific location and minitool doesnt recognize my drive. i also use disk management but i cant see my disk there. what should i do?

try a different computer and different usb cable…

He means that you must have your drive replaced.
