My Duo 12TB says RAID Status: Cannot Access Data

When I started up my computer today, My Duo 12TB (Raid 1 Mirrored) came up with a RAID error.  When I ran WD Drive Utilities program, it gives status:  

RAID Status Cannot Access Data   

Drive 1 Status  Online

Drive 2 Status  Online

I have tried unplugging both the power and the USB connections.  Restarted computer.

What needs to be done to fix this without lossing any Data on the HDs.

Hi B8ender and Ermorel.

I totally know what that thing was because my own MyBook Duo (this one 8TB) also configured Raid 1 had the same issue Last night (1st day of October, 2015).

I appreciate also Ermorel advice, for contacting WD support was the first thing after noticing the issue. I await their reply (I don’t know if it takes a little while because I send it via the normal WD links and my country is not the US. Surely you have competent personnel in all countries you do business, but perhaps this specific incident is rather specialized.

B8ender, if you happen to know any specific advice for my case, which appears to be similar to what you went through recently, I’d appreciate you letting me know about it.

Ermorel, if you believe that my question could be attended quicker by any specific channel, I would also appreciate you letting me know. 24+ hours , thu to friday without an answer to my support ticket, is indeed worrying when in my case, 3 months’ data is on the limbo.

For all users and WD people, I guess, it’s interesting to notice that in my case, with normal MyBook operation, Windows 7 spent some time in blue “shutting down” screen for several minutes, and after that, boot up and recovery mode took place for a while. I’m suspicious that Windows somehow messed with MyBook Duo during recovery.

Let’s see how it goes. Thank you all! Of course I’d be grateful for anybody else sharing their experience, too.

I have this same problem. WD My Book Pro 8TB

Also having a similar issue, red power light is blinking. What is the process to repair? Thanks.
