My book keeps making USB Connection Sound

Problem: It keeps connecting and disconnecting real fast on USB 3.0.
on USB 2.0 it doesn’t even show up. no sound, nothing. (device management, list disk included)

OS: Win10
tried:

  • turning off suspending USB
  • power management on usb hub
  • tried new WD cable + power adapter

I have 2 other 2.5’’ WD disks, they work without a problem on both 3.0 and 2.0.
