My Book Essential - Stop LED from flashing when in sleep mode

Hi,

I bought a WD My Book Essential and connected it to my WD TV Streaming Media Player under my TV.  The problem is when I turn the WDTV off and the My Book goes in to sleep mode the white LED on the front flashes constantly.  I know the user manual says it’s supposed to flash when it’s in standby but I’m wondering if there’s a way to disable this as it is incredibly annoying.

Try pressing the WDTV remote power button for 3 seconds to turn it off, if you press it for 1 second it will put it in standby mode.
