Hi,

i have a WD my book essential, USB 3, 2 TB. I Formatted it in 2 partisions (mac journaled) one for TimeMachine and another for other files. The hard disk is slow, as it is a simple USB 2.

Is it a problem of drivers? Or need i to re-format in a different way the hard-disk?

I won’t say that is a drivers issue.

What is the transfer rate that you are getting?

the speed of a transfer is usually 30-35mb/s , it’s like a usb 2 :frowning:

Is there anybody that can help me? I tried the hard disk also on windows 8… it’s always the same, it is very slow … and it is connected by USB 3.
