I’m having a BIG issue here. Yesterday, i used my book essential to upload something for about 7hrs like i always do but today when i plug it in, it won’t turn on so the computer can’t read it. I read and did what other people on the forum posted but it doesn’t work for me. I change the ac/dc plug and the light turn on but it was weak. It can’t show up on the computer and the light doesnt blink like it use to.
Can someone suggest me a solution, i did go to the store cause i’m under warranty but they say they will give me my money back, i have important documents inside and i don’t want to lose them.

You said the light was weak. This tells me that some component someplace is not getting sufficient power for some reason. You said you changed the ac/dc plug. I will assume this means you tried a different power adapter? And if so, was it the same rating in both output voltage and output current? Also, does the disk motor spin up at all?
We’ll take this one step at a time so as to be careful not to damage your existing data or make it impossible for a pro service to recover.
Im having the same problem, i have a MyBook Essential 1TB Model WD10000H1U and i plugged the power chord but at first it showed a light blue light but the it went off and now nothing happens when i plug it, what can i do?
