i hope i find the answer to my question here on your support forums as i’ve hit a dead end considering this issue…
I have a 1TB My Book Essential (The New One) Bought Around 3 Months Ago, All was well until today morning… I start up my PC, but the HD lights didn’t turn on, i reconnected it again up to no luck, tried on 2 different machines with the same result…
its not a power cable problem, as i tried using my friend’s power cord with no luck whatsoever…
Now, i have a 2 year warranty on the drive, i registered it as well, i know its the controller board (or more simple, the enclosure) that is faulty, can the warranty cover this issue? or i need to pay for anything ??
Also, i live in The Middle East (Jordan to be precise), so how would i find out if there are any dealers for WD in my area??
Forgive me for such a long post, but i had to explain a few things…
