I’ve seen this problem posted just about all over the internet and wondering when sandisk/wd is actually gonna address it. cause its either a sandisk/wd problem with msi motherboards or its msi problem. I have two nvme drives installed. a sn850x 2tb on the main m.2 slot with the operating system and a completely clean reformatted sn750 1tb in the 2nd m.2 slot. I’m still on win 10 getting the extended security updates, i’ve seen this problem effecting ppl on win 11 as well. Alot of ppl posting this problem seem to have very similar specs to me as far as motherboard and it seems to effect wd drives more than others. I’m also on the current beta bios 7C91vAK1(Beta version) and current chipset drivers direct from amd’s website. all other drivers are up to date. I built this pc myself and everything runs smoothly except for this issue. but basically i boot up my pc and it seems like every other boot up causes the 2nd m.2 slot to not show up. restarting into the bios and going back into windows detects the drive every single time but from a cold boot its intermittent if it shows up. besides keeping my pc on 24/7 i would love for this issue to get solved cause its been apparently going on for years and i dont think either company msi or wd has addressed it at all. really im just starting to think the 2nd m.2 slot is defective but i think if the drive WAS defective it wouldn’t boot correctly 100% of the time by restarting back into bios and going back into windows. the drive without fails show up everytime with that method. would love for it to show up everytime from a cold boot. sorry for the longwinded rant, just frustrated. if it matters my full specs are
