Has anyone else experienced this? How do I fix it? My drive is only 3 weeks old and as soon as I leave my mac idle for more than an hour or so it does one of the following.
- My Book completely disappears from finder
- If it does show up nothing is accessible
- Or even more frustrating I can see the the files that I have saved but I can’t view or access them and I can’t save anything else to the drive
- Error 36 is what I occasionally get or nothing
- I have tried viewing in utilities but that does nothing as does running a scan (My Book is “seen” but not responsive)
The only thing that fixes this is a complete restart of my Mac can you imagine how frustrating that is
Any suggestions would be appreciated I’m not technical so any discussions about networks or programming speak will go over my head. I just want a drive that I can back up my photos on
