Loss Data of my external WD MyBook Studio Edition II (RAID 1) after upgrading ! PLEASE HELP ME!

Hello,

after upgrading from OS X Mountain Lion to OS X Mavericks my external HDD “WD MyBook Studio Edition II” configured as RAID 1 with two 3 TB disks “WD30EFRX” connected with FireWire 800 was empty and renamed to “MyBook” → ALL MY DATA ARE GONE 

I lost all my photos and movies of my family and my kids from the last 20 years !!! 

Are there any chances to get the data back?

If you have experienced data loss with the following criteria then please open support cases with both Western Digital and Apple support:

  • MacOS Mavericks 10.9
  • WD Drive Manager / Raid Manager software installed
  • data loss after a restart
  • drives initialised to a single MyBook partition with exposed EFI partition
  • loss of all existing partitions and directory structures

If you are an Apple developer then please report an issue with Apple Bug Reporter.
