Thank you very much! The seller confirms that it is original… but I find it very strange that it is 50GB instead of 64GB or at least 59GB.

@ezemat this is not an authentic Sandisk card. Please check it against this public KBA Learn About Non-Authentic, Fake, Counterfeit Sandisk Memory Cards | Sandisk

The following methods will help you tell if your SD card is authentic.

Method 1: Evaluate Actual Storage Capacity
Counterfeit flash drives are modified to display large capacities (like 128GB) when connected to a computer, despite holding only a fraction of that amount (such as 8GB). Overloading this hidden limit causes immediate data corruption or permanent loss.

Step 1. Get diagnostic applications like ValiDrive or H2testw.
Step 2. Connect your USB drive to a PC and initiate the scan.
Step 3. Authentic drives will successfully write and read data across the entire advertised space without generating any errors.

Method 2: Identify the Internal Components
Imitation products rely on cheap, unbranded components, whereas authentic SanDisk hardware utilizes proprietary internal parts.

  1. Install a free diagnostic tool named ChipGenius.
  2. Launch the software and locate the “Controller Vendor” field.
  3. The field must explicitly display “SanDisk” to confirm the drive is legitimate.

Method 3: Measure Data Transfer Speeds
Authentic SanDisk Ultra Flair models utilize high-grade components that deliver rapid performance, unlike slow counterfeits. Legitimate drives achieve data reading speeds reaching up to 150 MB/s. Standard saving and writing speeds should range between 20 and 60 MB/s. Read also: How to Tell a Fake SD Card and How to Fix & Recover
