Install the WD edition or the Acronis edition?

Let me say, first, that I am a neophyte when it comes to personal computers.

I have just bought a WD My Book External Hard Drive.  Just before the purchase I purchased Acronis True Image 2014 from Acronis. 

Can anyone say if I should just stick with the Acronis software I’ve already bought or should I uninstall it and use the WD edition?

Would it make any difference?

Since you have already purchased the latest version it will be good for you to keep it.

As you might now the upgrades usually come with added features and options.

I believe you have the newer version. The Acronis versions are not always full fiunction and are not updated as often as Acronis. I yould keep what you have. Make sure you make the boot disk and check for updates to it. Acronis has a very good forum and is worth checking out.
