I plugged new drive into my Macbook with USB 3 and it sees the drive, but when I drag a file to it it just bounces back. I ran the SMART maintenance and it passed. I dragged teh unsr manual from the drive to my desktop successfully. No idea why it won’t record a file. It’s as if it is locked. Any help appreciated or I’m returning it to the store in the morning.
The drive appears to be read only on your Mac.
This happens when the drive comes preformatted for Windows.
