When you delete files from an SD card, the file system marks the space occupied by the deleted files as available for new data. However, the actual data isn’t immediately erased from the storage medium. Instead, the pointers to the data blocks are removed, making the space appear free.

As for the OP’s question, some (all?) Sony cameras issue a TRIM-like command to SD cards. This means that deleted data is zeroed. If this is not the case with your particular model, then R-Photo (freeware) should be able to recover all your data.
