How to adopt new Drive into MyBook

Hello to all.

I accindetaly droped my storage (WD 1Tb MyBook Essential USB3.0) , now drives is clicking. I know that it is may fault. So i decided to replcae drive mayself . I bought another WD500Gb Sata , new one, and installed it into MyBook enclouser, but it is not working. ;(

Could someone give me advice what to do? How to adopt new drive in this encloser ?  Is there any soft for firmware update or anything for this situation?

It’s not going to work, the case was made to work with the original drive that came inside for the firmware and security. You’d do better to use the new drive you have on a generic external enclosure.
